 ABSTRACT. The aim of this research was to know preadult developmental cycle of Anopheles aconitus on two different feed formulations in laboratory. 50 An. aconitus adults four days old consists of 25 males and 25 females were reared to got a number of eggs that would hatched to be the larva which used for the research object. The adult mosquitoes were given guinea pig for blood feeding every five days as long as four hours, and then the larva were given two different of feed formulations. Feed formulation (1) consists of 40% dry dog food, 20% instant yeast and 40% chicken liver. Feed formulation (2) consists of 20% chicken liver and 80% dry fish food. The result showed that blood fed Anopheles aconitus female laid the eggs on the second and the fourth day. The average eggs produced by mosquito female were 38 eggs. The egg would hatched on the first and the fifth day. Average long period for L1 was 3,4 days, L2 3 days, L3 3 days, L4 3,9 days and pupa 1,25-1,5 days. Average time period from egg to be adult was 17.97 days. Average eggs hatching was 76,46%, the successfully development of L1 was 91,99%, L2 89,08%, L3 78,67% and L4 32,29%. preadult developmental time of An. aconitus that were given feed formulation (1) was 17,6 days and preadult developmental time of An. aconitus that were given feed formulation (2) was 18,2 days, preadult developmental rate of An. aconitus that were given feed formulation (1) 0,6 day faster than preadult developmental rate of An. aconitus that were given feed formulation (2), but both statistically was not significantly different (P>0,05).

DIMAS TRI NUGROHO. Siklus Perkembangan Pradewasa Anopheles aconitus (Diptera: Culicidae) pada Dua Jenis Formulasi Pakan yang Berbeda di Laboratorium. Dibimbing oleh UPIK KESUMAWATI HADI dan SUGIARTO

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui siklus perkembangan pradewasa Anopheles aconitus pada dua jenis formulasi pakan yang berbeda. Sebanyak 50 ekor An. aconitus dewasa berumur empat hari yang terdiri dari 25 jantan dan 25 ekor betina dipelihara untuk mendapatkan sejumlah telur yang ditetaskan menjadi larva yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian. Nyamuk dewasa digigitkan ke tubuh marmot sebagai sumber darah setiap lima hari sekali selama empat jam sedangkan larva diberi dua jenis formulasi pakan yang berbeda. Pakan (1) terdiri dari pakan anjing sebanyak 40%, ragi instan bubuk sebanyak 20% dan hati ayam sebanyak 40%. Pakan (2) terdiri dari hati ayam 20% dan pelet ikan sebanyak 80%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa An. aconitus betina kenyang darah bertelur pertama kali pada hari kedua dan hari keempat. Nyamuk betina mampu menghasilkan rata-rata 38 butir telur, menetas paling cepat pada hari pertama dan paling lama pada hari kelima. Panjang periode L1 rata-rata selama 3,4 hari, L2 3 hari, L3 3 hari, L4 3,9 hari dan dari stadium pupa hingga eklosi menjadi dewasa membutuhkan waktu 1,25-1,5 hari. Rata-rata total waktu yang diperlukan dari telur hingga dewasa adalah 17,97 hari. Daya tetas telur rata-rata 76,46%. Tingkat keberhasilan perkembangan L1 rata-rata 91,99%, L2 89,08%, L3 78,67%, dan L4 32,29%. Rata-rata waktu yang dibutuhkan pada stadium pradewasa An. aconitus yang diberi pakan 1 adalah 17,6 hari sedangkan rata-rata waktu yang dibutuhkan pada stadium pradewasa An. aconitus yang diberi pakan 2 adalah 18,2 hari. Ratarata perkembangan pradewasa An. aconitus yang diberi pakan 1 lebih cepat 0,6 hari dibandingkan pakan 2, tetapi keduanya secara statistik tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05).
